Tracking

My tyres havent worn evenly so I asked Mini about checking the tracking - they said to correct it it would cost 200 quid!!!! Does anyone know why it so high? I had it done on a peugeot a few years ago and it was on £30!

different equipment and the cost per hour will be very different, just go to a local tyre exhaust shop should be about £20

Unfortunately BMW in general do not do simple tracking but a more comprehensive check. Best try local tyre dealer first as 9 times out of 10 it is just simple tracking.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

BMW do 4 point laser tracking of a special name I can't remember. Of which they want rediculous money for.

I know that these people do 4 point laser tracking to for around £20. Pro Tyre

They are really good and really helpful. I've used them may times.

Hope this is useful?

Thanks for the link Laura,

I tried to do the "find outlet" thing on their website. I entered in my Scottish postcode and they gave me the link to their nearest garage... in Cheshire.

Looks ok, just a teensy bit far to go. Maybe someone closer can give them a try.

All the best,
Andrew.
