Offline | Driver's seat scuffs Feeling slightly annoyed with my self for not spotting how badly scuffed the Driver's seat bolster was when buying our car (54 Plate). When we were test driving I do remember seeing another which was even worse though - is it something that's common place on Minis? |

Offline | Did the same thing so know how it feels, landed up buying some new seats in the classified section, must be common around here as I am in Loudwater. There's a small business opened up just of the mini roundabout at Cores End between Wooburn and Bourne End that does car interiors, leather refirb etc might be worth seeing them, he has one of those swinging signs by the roundabout. Found them AJ's Trimming Princes Rd, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire SL8 5HZ Tel: 01628 530257 NINE GOLD AND TWO SILVER May / June 2008 = Stelvio, Mortirolo, Zoncalon and Giro TT. |

| 01 | I would recomend buying a really good quality leather conditioning cream which antique stores and good quality leather furniture shops sell. You can usually find something decent at places like robert dyas too. I use it all the time on any car with leather seats/trim and on my leather sofas at home. Keeps the leather really supple and soft and matt looking. Prevents cracking and shinyness and will help remove scratches. If scratches are deep enough to show white through, use a bit of black/grey shoe polish followed by a good quality leather cream and they will be as good as new. I have used this method to renew second hand leather sofas and my dads volvo that had 200k miles on the clock. The improvement was huge! Well recomended, and much cheaper than new seats ![]() |

Offline | If you have fairly bad scuff marks you can actually send away for a scuff repair kit from Liquid leather (Home Page) - you'd think their website was designed by a 5 year old but the quality of their products is fantastic. They've been around for a long long time - however when ordering make sure you have the exact name of the leather handy as they have a massive range of colours. Mark |
