Car Cover Recommendations (or some magic formula)

I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a decent, but reasonably priced car cover for my poor MINI Cooper?

It's that time of the year where my car sits alone under a horrible sycamore tree that decides to excrete it's sap and just about everything else it can throw at my poor MINI. It gets to the point where there's actually very little point in cleaning the car in the summer months because it takes less than an hour under the sycamore tree for a load of sap to have been deposited on the car!

So I think I'll have to get a cover unless anyone else can think of some magic formula (other than a chainsaw) to help alleviate the problem.

I bought one from Halfords a while back, silver outside, white on the inside. Can't recall the brand, but it wasn't expensive and seemed OK.

Might get one myself. theres a birds nest in the guttering of the house above where my car is and its constantly covered in bird sh*t. Either get that or a shotgun, or I could throw the cat up!!!
Needs yet another wash this evening. What do these birds eat!

I agree - get a shotgun! No on a more serious note, Mini do covers - make sure you get the outside one. They are expensive, there's no doubting that, but, being genuine mini it will be tailored to fit your car and be of a high quality. Here's an analogy for you - floor mats. Mini floor mats are tailored to fit the space and are of a good quality. As they fit, they are the best option - protect your carpets and also prevents wear on the sides etc. You'll pay for the privilege, but you will have a better quality product and a better fit.

Hi:
I have seen fabric shade sails used to cover and protect cars from trees and birds. It is a fair solution if you have the space and building codes permit.
