Leather Seat Repair

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any answers on this one, my girlfriend has just damaged my seat in my 06 MCS.

I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get it repaired, or if its time for a new seat back?

You might be able to disguise it quite well with some grey shoe polish, well rubbed in so that it doesn't stain clothes?

Hi,I will be honest with you it can be repaired but the method to repair it is just a bodge technique. When its repaired it will look brand new but its how long with everyday use it will look brand new.

So if your planning to sell the car then get it repaired before you sell it,Thats what garages do.But if your planning on holding on to the car then i would just live with it untill such a time that you want to get rid of it.......

The reason i know this is because i used to be a smart repairer before i got into paintless dent removal

Hope that helps you a bit matey

I called into Sytner today and asked them about it.

They have put me onto the guy they use for repairs and he is going to come and have a look early next week.

It looks a real mess and its really starting to annoy me, so I'm hoping something can be done with it.

If it appears again I may have to see about replacing the seat or something, I've only had the car 4 months so am not ready to get rid of it yet.

The man Sytner use came to repair it today, it cost £45 and doesn't look too bad.

I'm guessing the true test is what it looks like in 6 months though!

The damage was caused by a button on some jeans that had broken.

Yea it looks like he done a decent job mate,Like you said though lets see how it looks in a few months.i will be very suprised if it doesnt deteriorate. How much he charge ya mate??Was i right in saying around £75?

Edit,I didnt see the £45 bit,Thats a gd price. At the end of the day even if it does only last 6 months for £45 its still worth it i guess.

Good luck mate
