Does anyone know what is covered under your warranty when purchasing a MINI?

pretty much most things.. obv not things due to wear and tear

Yep i'd say everything that they can easily find/diagnose and replace which hasnt worn out (i.e. consumable). So not brake/clutch wear and not batteries unless they wear extremely fast and you might get a concession from Mini to help.

I've had 2 new glovebox lids and a new windscreen due to rattles and wind noise.

...but some have had issues with clutch noise and the dreaded diesel noise, presumably because they are noises and not necessarily terminal and they can be intermittent. Oh and they dont know how to fix them!

Noisy clutches are a feature I think! Worn alternator bushes make for rattly diesels also!
