Cleaning, polishing, Waxing

I am new to the in depth world of detailing but i have a vaigue idea of what i want to do, but i would appreciate your comments or amendments if i am doing it wrong or in the wrong order.

Wash and dry the car
Clay
Use dodo prime lime
polish a couple of times
Then use dodo juice diamond white wax

My next query is this:- the MINI is cream with a black roof, can i use the diamond white wax on the black roof?

Thank you very much

I don't waste my time doing Clay as a separate stage as the Meguiars pack recommends (after drying). I wash the car with my 2 bucket system and when finished washing the paintwork and when I would start to rinse and dry I then go over the car while still wet with my clay bar using the rest of my clean shampoo bucket as lubrication. This way I don't have to worry about the streaks and such using the quik detailer before waxing and I can spend more time putting another layer of wax on. I hope this helps. I don't know the diamond white wax but if its tinted I wouldn't put it on the roof - dodo is generally very good though so it should be fine.

You need to change a couple of things,
Wash
Rinse
Clay
Wash
Dry
Polish
Lime Prime
Wax

and yes Diamond White will be fine to use on the roof

I would prob skip the polish bit, and just use Lime Prime as it has tiny abrasives in it anyway.

Even Dodo say that all the waxes they do, can be used on any colour.

the diomond wax is useable on any colour - as it is pre and has no colourings in it.

Personally I would as well or you could polish but replace Lime Prime with Lime Prime Lite.

If you register on A world for detailers... you can search and find several detailers will either do your car for you or some will show you how to detail it yourself, but you will have to spend a lot of cash on the correct tools required.
