Noise when pulling away - MINI2

Hi All,

my 05 plate cooper S has started making this whistling/grinding noise as I pull away from traffic lights. It makes this sound regardless of the acceleration force. Anyone have any kind of idea what it might be?

Does it do it from cold or just when warm?

Just seem to do it when the car is cold. Gave it a good 50 mile run on saturday and then it only did it when starting off.

Could be the clutch/flywheel problem, do a search on here, hopefully its not when it happened to us it would have cost £1200 out of waranty
