How often should a mini be serviced?

A 55 reg cooper S to be exact. Eg. My current car's manual says either every 12 months or every 10k miles, whichever is sooner.

I know the mini should be serviced when the message pops up on the rev counter/trip computer, but I am wondering if that includes basics such as engine oil and coolant.

I'd like to know because I will probably be buying one tomorrow and need to know what to look for in the service log to make sure the previous owner has been looking after it properly.

Brake fluid should be changed at 2 year intervals from build date.

Coolant should be changed at 4 year intervals from build date.

Oil and Inspection Services should be done based on the Service Interval Counter. If you don't put many miles on your car, you shouldn't go more than 2 years without an oil change.
