Yeah i tried this stuff last weekend, to be honest i wouldnt bother with it, maybe i wasnt using it right but i found it left clay residue all over my car, my black roof ended up looking white! so i ended up having to wash the whole car again anyway. Dont let the fancy packaging fool you in to buying it!

I'd go for the meguiars clay kit, it does take a good hour atleast to do it but makes the car look/feel so much better.

A clay kit will pick up all the dirt off the surface that wont come off when you wash the car. Its hard to believe but after you wash a car there is still contaminents on the paint, this is where you need to clay bar the surface.
It doesnt need to be done weekly, 6monthly to yearly id say depending on the miles you do.

dont waste your time or money mate.

nothing compares to a real clay bar. as stated in a post above, get the Meguiars Clay Kit - comes with a Speed Detailer, 2 Clay Bars, A box to keep the bars in and a Microfibre Cloth. got mine for around £20 well worth the money!! gets the paint so smooth its brilliant.

Dunno about the clay bar but I dont think much of Turtle wax ICE it deffo doesnt shine or look half as good as polishing it with AutoGlym polish

dont forget to polish and wax the car after using the clay, as the clay not only removes contaminents, it also removes all the layers of previous polish and wax leaving the paint more vulnerable!

polish is a good idea before waxing to remove any micro-marring left by the clay, make sure to use lots of spray when claying so the clay wont drag and inflict damage. Autoglym SRP followed by a wax of choice and it should look pretty good.

Hi,
I used a Meguairs clay bar for the first time yesterday and was very impressed with the results! It was hard work but well worth the effort as it not only made the paintwork on my 2007 Astro black almost mirror like it seems to have removed some nasty swirl marks that were present when I bought the car last year!
The only negative is that the bar is quite small and was quite difficult to keep hold of.
How many times can you re-use the bar as mine seemed quite contaminated with muck?

I have seen the Meguires at the stores in my area and after reading everyone's feedback on this product, it looks like something I want to buy too this weekend. I just bought a laser blue Mini 2 weeks ago. Gretenho, Im Gauci, what products do you use on your Mini after using the clay if you do not mind me asking? Also, is there a particular cloth you like to use polish the car? Sorry for all of the questions.
