The dent unfortunately is your responsibility and mini want cover that on warranty. To remove the other vehs paint you could use tcut which is a polish.

The other thing you could do is ring your dealer as they do offer body work repair, check there website prior to ringing.

On the website of mini, they do a breakdown of costs, try and see obviously if it is a rediculous price then use a reputable repairer, the only thing I would recommend is if the car is still within the paintwork warranty and someone else does do the work then that warranty unfortunately becomes null and void.

if you don't want to go to BMW and want something fast if the dents annoying you after you have tcut it see if halfords or an independent garage will remove the dent, maybe?

T cut can be weak - cutting compound should remove it, but be careful as its very abrasive... Make sure you wax/polish afterwards as t cut and compound remove all the protection from your paint.

How polished was your car previously? Polished cars make it easier for you to get other paint off as its harder to bond, hence why you have to rough smooth surfaces before painting.
