Contaminated coolant Have discovered a potential problem with the coolant in my other half's 52 plate MINI ONE, it seems that after the last service they didn't put the cap back on the expansion tank properly. It's been a good few weeks since the service and she puts 600 miles a week on the car, in which time I'm guessing a lot of dust and dirt drifting round the engine bay has made its way into the coolant. It's now looking a very dull shade of blue and I'm concerned about what effect this will have - is it urgent to get the system flushed ASAP or will it wait until the next service? Thanks |

| ok so its under 3000 miles since last service. I would go back to service centre to recheck the coolant. It has to be a certain density, they have the tool to measure this! |
