DIY pillar replacement?

I have a weird hole in my driver's side pillar, which is part 19 on MossMini.com - Parts & Accessories for Your BMW Mini Cooper

Can I replace this myself? Or should I have a body shop do it? My MC is 7 years old by this point, will the replacement be obvious (too shiny)?

Here's an A pillar relacement DIY we found that may be of help. It's in reference to a windshield replacement. Looks pretty straight forwaard.

Is this the outside cover? It's simple to replace - bit of a pain to remove, and it might break whilst removing it because of the adhesive, but don't worry.

When buying a replacement, I think they come with double sided adhesive foam to sit between the cover and body.

The passenger one went ages ago but the Driver side came off the other day on the motorway.

Anyone know the part number ?

or if anyone makes a sturdy replacement as I cant afford for this part to keep braeking and the car is out of warranty

thanks

They shouldn't come off, as long as they're put on correctly.

You need piece number 4 from here:
