Smile Welcome to MINI2 ...

First generation Cooper S models have a supercharger.

Unfortunately, the engine and transmission of a Cooper are really not robust enough to fit either a supercharger or turbo.

Enjoy what you've got and save, Midland gearbox is weak and a known problem on your car, sorry.

you could always get a cooper s engine/transmission etc n put that where your cooper engine currently is i know of a couple of people who have done that!

you can get it remapped - to 130bhp i believe. bluefin do a piggy back module for it which you can remove when you need to.

I do believe that the cooper s has the same brakes and suspension (especially with sport +) as a one/cooper (may be wrong)

OEM brakes on an R53 "S" are known to be weak so could be they are the same. Others better qualified no doubt will comment.
