| Brake caliper dust Seal I am doing a complete brake job on my '03' MINI Cooper S and I will be having the calipers powder coated. I can not figure out how to get the dust seal off without destroying them. I need help... |

| Consider just replacing... If you are powdercoating, I expect the calipers must be off the car. I expect you would want to pull the pistons too and then block the cylinders and all the other openings. Mini likely sells a rebuild kit that should give you a new piston seal as well as outer dust seal. When I have bought those for Audis, they are usually pretty reasonably priced, plus then your caliper is serviced internally as well for much longer problem free life. |
