Cam Chain Tensioner?

Hi guys i have got a 52 plate Cooper S and have had a lot of tapping noises coming from head over past few days when engine is NOT underload but is fine when it is under load.

Anyhows after removing all of the intercooler and and rockercover i am aware that the Chain is quite a bit slack and i need to Buy a Cam chain Tensioner....but was wondering if any of you guys know where to get one from and how much they are??

Cheers Luke

They're about £30 from your dealer.
RealOEM.com BMW R53 Cooper S Timing and valve train-timing chain

Down back of engine and a 19mm offset ring spanner is your best bet for getting it out.
Can be done from working above or remove O/S wheel and arch liner.

I'd recommend changing the oil and flushing engine too.

The new one comes compressed and once fitted the oil pressure extends it forward and tensions the chain
