| MINI2 Senior | where to get Rain-X Wheel Protectant in australia? hi, just wondering, where i could get the Rain-X Wheel Protectant in Sydney. i've got the X-Lite 16inch White wheels, and for the 5days i got the car, i've cleaned the wheels for twice already.. this is killing me, and sometimes there is those dirt that is really hard to get off, and requires so much effort too. i read the forum that Rain-X Wheel Protectant helps to protect from brake dust sticking on wheel as much or something, and being able to hose off those brake dust with just water. any ideas where to get them??? if not available in sydney, what other good choice are there to clean the wheels easier, without damaging it?? i've saw in a shop the Meguiar's wheel cleaner, which says that it is acid free, and is safe on all wheels including painted, aluminum, chrome and anodized finishes. so any body tried that before?? how is it? and is it true that it doesnt damage the wheel?? thanks for ur help guys |

Offline | Re: where to get Rain-X Wheel Protectant in australia? I've got white 5-stars, and have had the car for 3 months. Yes, they get dirty quickly don't they? I just wash mine with the same detergent mix that I use on the rest of the car, and they sparkle a treat. I wouldn't waste my money on wheel cleaners, since the white surface is so smooth, and is really easy to wash and wipe. Regards, ElTel |

Offline | Washing gets about 99% of the dust off but it doesn't remove the specs of brake pad material that gets burnt into the surface. I don't think any protectant will stop that happening.
