Help please -Radiator fan two speed resistor info required
I have tried searching for this info and need to ask. Can anyone advise what size resistor I need to replace the green one built in to the mark 1 fan assembly.
All other parts of the fan are good and all I need to do is solder a new resistor in place. BMW want £250 inc VAT for a fan assembly. A resistor is £5.00 problem is I cant find any info on what size I need. One youtube video stated a 33 ohm resistor but I need to know how many WATTS.
Im sure someone on here will know.
shameless, there's a huge ongoing forum on the North American Motoring web site with everything you need about replacing cooling fan resistors in it...called Low Speed Fan Resistor- we need solution
You might need to join if you want to see pics but it's really simple + immediate
Thanks for information cjm
From info on there it needs a 0.33 ohm 100watt resistor, I have bought one from ebay and will fit it next week. Hopefully have some pictures to post to help out others.
