Check engine light query

I reported yesterday that I was driving home and check engine
Light came on,I remember that it suddenly came on
When I turned the air distrubution knob from windscreen to air vents
in car, would this trigger the light? Will
Get fault code tomorrow hopefully

Very unlikely that there is a connection with your air vents............probably just a lambda/oxygen sensor has gone faulty or out of tolerance.
