Just bought a 2005 mini diesel and have exactly the same thing.. sort of humming noise as soon as ignition turned- both before engine going & also when engine going. From inside car sounds like coming from right hand side of dash. From under bonnet sounds as if coming from around brake fluid resevoir. Don't know whether to be worried?? Seen a few similar threads on here- seems like a common thing but still dont know what it is/ if its normal??!
Sounds normal to me , it lasts only for few seconds , right? The noise sort of "moves" all along , starting from the bonnet then "going in" to the dash part...
