Sweden Engine revs up then down during constant acceleration

Hello everyone,

First off, I have an appointment with the Mini dealership to inspect whats wrong also fix the heater that is currently out of order (sucks being winter and -10c!) also I own a Mini cooper S -04 (R53)

Anyhow. This is what happens, first about 4 months ago when driving on 6th gear, hitting the throttle about 60-70%, the engine RPM climbs about a thousand and a half up to two thousand when accelerating and then back down to where it is supposed to, throughout the acceleration. (video URL at the bottom, sorry about chopping it up, Mini2 wouldnt let me attach it in my first post)

My mother borrowed the car for 2 months and came back with a broken AC, f*cked up passenger side door leather trim (I have to replace the whole leather panel) and this RPM issue has gotten worse.

What used to happen on 6th gear, happens now on every gear it seems and I've noticed it's not the RPM indicator that is malfunctioning, the engine and compressor delivers more power, more of a kick actually.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ps, help with Replacing the leather on pass. door is appreciated as well.

As TaB says, your description sounds like a new clutch is needed.
