X138 connector?

Hi

I have been trying to diagnose my offside brake and hi-level brake light failures and found a really old thread somewhere which mentioned a X138 connector being a problem.

Does anybody know what one of these is? ...and where I can get to it?

Cheers
Michael

I have done a search on BMW sites and the X138 is a 3 way connector which would sit correctly with the problem being with the offside and 3rd brake lights - I just need to know which of the trim panels I need to remove to check it out.

Anybody got any ideas?
