First generation indicator & sidelight unit replacement. Tips.

Hello.

Just replaced a unit/housing for the sidelight and indicator. Some people seem to advise taking the bumper off (daunting, but not a big task) others say do it in situ with a tiny screwdriver (small hands and dexterity required), but I have found "another way" this morning due to sheer laziness.

I replaced a full unit by removing the two top screws with a short screwdriver, then with the wheel on full lock, removing one screw from under the bumper, and four/five screws in the wheel well so I could pull back the wheel well plastic "cover".

That way I could use a long screwdriver to remove the lower screw from inside the wheel well.

This seems to be a good compromise between speed, ease, and not ruining your hands.

Just wanted to share.

Paul
