Servicing question

New owner here and i have a question about servicing, i have just purchased a Mini One 06 plate with a mileage at 48,000 and from the looks of it the last service was done at 29,000.....the service interval display on the dash says it does not need another service for 11,500 miles.....is this correct?? seems along time between servicing?

Service intervals are 15,500 miles.

I'd say either the last service was performed at 44K and not noted in the service book or the service interval counter was reset at 44K without doing the service.

on the rare occation of me buying a used vehicle, i change all the fluids just to know where i am at

that would include the clutch/brake fluid, coolant, engine and transmission oil

i have the battery tested

check the brake linings and rotors for wear
