Lightbulb Exterior Cleaning/ Polishing Top Tips!

Thought this might be a useful thread to start - kinda like a mini FAQ Forum

My starters for 10:

When washing the car, fold the mirrors out to allow the water to drain from them, avoiding the annoying run of water down the door after you've dried it.

Also after cleaning the wheels, a carefully applied coat of wax helps to make cleaning the brake dust off them easier in the future.

Cool - thanks! Getting ready for a thorough cleaning now that I have almost 500 miles on it, just in time for the holidays. I don't have any tips though.

Use the Autoglym Bumber gel on the black plastic bits. Works a treat and may stop UV damage!

Agree with R1, Autoglym gel works lovely and also gets rid of white wax marks very easily.

Just wish the weather would warm up a bit as I need to wax again but its too damn cold.

Stop ruddy rainin cos the 2nd Cam needs a thrashin !

Here's a tip - don't attempt to open the bonnet with the windscreen wipers lifted off the windscreen (like me)

Just curious, thanks.

It's probably the only national (big one anyway) car store in the UK

Car Wash Must Autoglym

I'd have to say that Autoglym products are a tad bit expensive but worth every penny. If you attend car shows then you get some good deals on the products but I would swear by the Car Shampoo they do. I have been using it on my current Car and it looks a mint even after 2 years and not once has it been, just waxed.
I will be using it on me New Green with N V Cooper in March 2003 but until then Autoglym clean it is.
Also Wonder Wheels is great product for alloys.
