Electrical Issues with 2003 Cooper base

Lights behind speedometer do not work. The speedometer itself works fine, I can see it in the daytime. The climate control (A/C and Heat) lights work but the blowers never engage. I checked all fuses, did not replace the relays yet.

The passenger side window does not respond to the switch (may be unrelated). Radio works fine, lights on radio included. Clock works.

Is this definitely an ignition switch issue?

Just bought the car used and I am dumping money into getting it back to 100%.

Thanks,

Casey

Post Some things work others don't...

I really don't know what to tell you but just for my two cents, your troubles sound a lot like the cars I saw in NC that got flooded.

Some things work some things didn't!!!!

I would for sure look at the relays and price em out.

Maybe you can obtain a wire diagram?

Just bought the car? Did you try everything on the test drive and they worked then? Is it under warranty? Did you contact the previous owner if the problems were the reason they got shut of it?

Too many people buy a car in a rush then find out its got too many problems that should have been obvious at time of purchase had they spent a little extra time going over it?
Then moan about how much its costing to fix.
