Offline | Service Interval Indicator I just picked up my Copper. Its a Sept'02 build. It currently only has ~120km on the odo. The service indicator says "INSPECTION 24900". Is this right ? I thought the very first service should be an "OIL SERVICE" after roughly the first 15000Km. Can somebody tell if there is something wrong with the service indicator on my car ? Thanks. AOH... | MINI2 Master | I just had my Cooper in for its first oil change and it now says 24900 (or so) km to inspection. It sounds like your computer has been adjusted as if it already had its first oil service. Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! Offline | Service 8,300 miles on my '02 S and the service indicator still reads 3,100. I spoke with MINI USA this morning and they said the service indicator will automatically adjust depending on your driving habits. There's probably nothing wrong with your service indicator light. 2002 Red/Black Cooper S |

Offline | Re: Service You need to drive more aggressively My first service was indicated at 9100 miles. (The dealer said the earliest they could do it was 9000), I plan to try harder for the next one.Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

Offline | I think it has something to do with the fact that about 80% of the 8,000+ miles are highway miles...cruising along at a comfortable 80-85. My in-town driving is very spirited. 2002 Red/Black Cooper S |
