Cooper R50 rally lamp/fog light bulb type?

Hi all. New to the forum and will be on here for a while.

My girlfriends just purchased an electric blue mini cooper 04. Its in ace condition other than the curbed alloys from the past owner!

Anyway shes wanting full led conversion and HIDS fitting.
It comes with those rally lamp/fog lights on the top grille i dont know what the proper name is for them. What bulb type are they? Need to get the bulbs ordered.
Cheers for the help.

Depends if theyre proper MINI ones or after market fitments, Halfords style
Just take a bulb out, its written on it, type and wattage, it will be something like H3 55W or similar.

it's now an mot failure for hids to be fitted in a halogen headlamp unit..leds aren't what there cracked up to be,they don't give the same light output as a halogen bulb..if the spots are oe then they should be h3 55watt lamp.

Im not sure about fitting HIDs to older cars whether they have to have headlamp wash and headlamp levelling systems installed as well like all cars with HID have to have now? Might be worth asking before you go out and buy some as to fit the wash and level to a car without it might be more bother than its worth?
