4th year of scheduled maintenance

I understand it is possible to extent the "free"(prepaid?) scheduled maintenance from 3 to 4 years for appoximately $400. What services does this include? Do you recommend purchasing the extra year?

You get free scheduled maintenance in the US? Damn, we don't get that here in Canada.

$400? Man, that's pretty cheap, I paid $850 for mine =/ Extends the maintenance to 4 years/50,000 miles. My dealer said most of the "major" maintenance is due after 36,000 miles, so that in the long run it would save you money. Of course, this is coming from the mouth of a car salesman, so who knows really, but I went ahead and bit. Probably stupid of me, but you never know, he could be telling the truth..lol.

Actually, I drive a lot of miles (~25,000/year), so I figured the extended maintenance was good for me, because I'll probably burn through the standard one in less than 2 years.

Nobody at our dealer could tell us what the post-36k maintenance consists of, so we didn't get it. I'd love ot know what it includes, to see if it is worth it or not.

I think my delaer mentioned things such as brakes and belts which come after 36k, but I could be wrong. Also, as I said previously, he was a salesman trying to sell me something, so no telling how valid anything he said actually was.
