DIY Chain tensioner

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before,
I have removed the timing chain tensioner blanking plug and
Can see the tensioner but I can't remove it , I've tried magnets
And picks to try and get the tensioner out but it won't budge, a friend
Did mention trying to heat the block but not keen as this could weaken
It, is there a set way of getting them out? Any help on this would be great

Hi ya

If your talking gen 1 mini

There are a few more ways you can try
1) turn the engine backward this will pull the chain tight and should put it the tensioner out
2) take of the rocker cover and use a thin bar to push against the chain guide that's how you can reset them installed.
3) take off the oil pump cover and push it back from there just remember if you do it this way to use new orings on the oil gallery's

Hope this helps
