Newbie with a -problem

Hi everyone, I bought a mini last month and I'm really pleased with it.
I've been driving it around for most of this time and I haven't experienced any breakdowns yet. I thought this was a bit suspect as I heard these had a reputation for being quite unreliable, especially in the earlier models.
Maybe it's just because people don't maintain their minis correctly. I've done an oil change with 5w30 oil as suggested. What other maintenance procedures can I carry out?
Thanks guys.

Classic is over 25 years ain't it? Isn't the battery in the same palace on all models?

If your battery is flat, try pumping it up to about 40psi which should be enough.

MINI One and Cooper have battery in the engine compartment, MINI Cooper S has battery in boot same as the classic Mini (except Van, Traveller/Countryman/Clubman Estate, Pickup and Moke).

PS. If you have a classic Mini you will get a better response here.....
