Hello i am trying to figure out some reasons why my mini cooper 2003 is not running after replacing the AC unit. we left it with out the battery and we were told that it could be the ECU and we should try remapping the Computer but we do not know the family name or if the mini cooper even falls into that category
Cooper 2.0 D Bosch EDC15C2 DDE it says this is the car that falls into the category but no idea if my 2003 mini cooper falls into that. This is what it says on the program MINI BOSCH EDC15 DDE no idea of the ecu family name some advice please.
Unless you shorted the battery through the ecu, simply disconnecting it from the battery should not wreck the ecu. Is the car completely dead, does it power up and show errors, will it turn over but not fire, start but not idle?
It is completely dead, headlights, dash, signal light etc. it just does not turn over. turn the key and it does not do anything. but lights and dash turn on and no errors show no engine or any other notifications on the car.
