Pitted Windscreen, Anyone know how to repair.

I got hit by a pebble (haha how Ironic! I know!) anyway it put 3-4 pits in my windscreen. luckily It's very close to the top but it still looks like dirt even when the pits are cleaned out.

Does anyone know if there is a way of filling the pits so it looks as good as new?

Pebble.

Hopefully this is still relevant: auto repair places sell a type of epoxy that you can use to fill them, its a few dollars, but you'd need one kit for each hole, since you suck the air out of the pit, and then squeeze the goop, and let it dry with the vacuum on the windshield. I did it once and it worked fine, wasn't entirely perfect, but i had a deep dent, your small ones might be easily fixed.

Windshield shops would also happily do this for you, I'm not sure if its the same kit, but I suspect it'd be more expensive, though possibly a bit better. Call around and ask.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.

Many US insurance companies will waive your comprehensive deductible, allowing you to get windshield chips fixed for free. Companies that do these repairs make "house calls".

Pebble-
please let us know if you find a solution to this problem. same thing here ... have 3 tiny chips within weeks of getting the new car must be something about the angle of the windscreen... had my old car for years with no rock chips.
