Winshield washer sensor

Hey all,

So having a stupid issue with my windshield washer tank, this morning going into work the light came on that it was low, no big deal, filled it to the top when I got to work (put about 1/4 of a litre in) and the light turned off.

When I was driving home (when I was just about home) it turned back on again, opened it up and a full tank of fluid.

I just want to know if anybody else has had these issues before? should I leave it to "fix itself" or should I take it apart and use my meter on the sensor? (honestly not in any rush until winter for this fix)

Thanks!

Quick update:

Washed the car and now the light is off without me doing anything, so it appears to just be faulty, it was a particularly hot day so I so far am going to blame it on that. If anybody has any ideas I am open to suggestions.
