United-States Another Oil Change Filter question HELP!

I have found that the OEM part number for the oil filter is 1142512446. However if you go to the partsbin.com it comes up as A6002-117442 which is the kit.

Is this the same?

I am a military member at an APO address overseas.

Can someone tellme were to order the Oil filter online for a resonable price and they will ship USPS instead of UPS?

I have serched this site and the net for about an hour. I need some help and ordering my oil filter so I can change my oil.

Any other tips from recent Oil Changers???

Thanks for the help in advance. William.

Qwner of Cooper S Electric Blue and white top, Premium package. INCREDIBLE!

THey might be referring to the fact that the oil filter includes the o-ring which seals the oil filter cover.
If you cannot find anything else, I would try it...

Order it from classic, they ship, I bet they could ship USPS if you agreed to not worry about insurance or tracking. http://www.driveclassicmini.com/index.asp You should be able to just ask for the Filter, or the whole kit if you want it.

I forgot to add, the main reason to order from classic is if you ask for the 'mini cooper online' discount, they'll discount most any part you want 10-20%, for that reason, they ship a bunch of stuff all the time.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.

Order the kit - it comes with an O-ring you need to replace when doing the change. Prices vary - I paid $7.45 at Flow MINI in Winston-Salem. Don't know if they ship USPS, but their phone number is (336) 788-3333 if you want to call them.

William, I have the box for a Cooper S filter in front of me and the part # is 11 42 7 512 446 which is the same as yours except for the extra 7. It came with the o-ring (and I've done two changes--both had rings in the box.)

My understanding is that the oil filter will ALWAYS comes with an o-ring. I 2nd the motion for classic auto campus, as they advert. discounts on all OEM parts.

HTH, Jeff
