Thumbs up cleaning wheels

I've got 5 star alloys and like to keep them clean. Does anyone know the best wheel cleaner to use?
thanks

Gotta be Wonderwheels mate, I was amazed at how effectively it cleaned my S-spokes the first time I used it.
Give it a try!!!

All I can say is I went from Autoglym to Wonderwheels, and I would never change back again.

something i've discovered is quite effective is some type of cleaner that has orange acid in it..."fast orange" or "orange clean" come immediately to mind. the nice thing about these cleaners is that the acid is enough to cut right thru the brake dust and grime, but not nearly as dangerous as wheel acid, which can quickly reduce the clearcoat on a wheel to dripping liquid.

spray down your wheels with water, spray on your "orange" cleaner, and let this sit on the wheel for about 20 seconds. you can scrub lightly with a soft brush if you like, then spray the residue off. does a really nice job, i think. not quite as pricey as "dedicated" wheel cleaners!

Does anyone know if Wonderwheels is safe to use on the white painted wheels? I know some cleaners say not to use on painted alloys.

"Wonder wheels is a specially developed formula designed to remove 'baked on' brake dust and 'ground in' dirt from car and motorcycle wheels without staining surfaces or damaging coatings" ...it says on my 4 or 5 year old bottle.

Yes it lasts forever. Judging by the contents of my bottle, my next purchase will be in the year 2018.

You can call customer services on 01923 816001.

Application is by brush rather than a spray, so the job takes a little longer, but it is effortless.

Regular cleaning with soapy water followed by a good polish!! I don't like using wheel cleaner as the corrosive side of them through constant use is a real turn off!!

I clean my white 5 spokes with car shampoo/water every week (sometimes twice ) and the dust comes off a treat, i suppose if you dont clean them often you need a special cleaner

Applying a wheel cleaner with a brush does not fit my idea of effortless.

Has anyone who uses wonder wheels noticed if their break caliper holders are begining to rust?
