light scratch on rear arch plastic

I took a couple of hours out yesterday to get my CR/W back to showroom condition.

After Using Meguiars wash I noticed that the exterior black trim around the arches was looking a bit grubby even after a good cleaning. I treated it to the trim detailer stuff and the car looks absolutely pristine again.

However I did notice that I have somehow attracted a light scratch on the rear wheel arch, has anyone treated this kind of area before? or is it the start of many more untreatable scratches to come?

What do you mean by " trim detailer stuff "? Waht is the product/brand?

My rear wheel trim also has some minor scratching. I guess that using a good product for cleaning it should look good although plastic is plastic... Unless it is something horrid I would live it like that. Sooner or later no matter how carefull you are the car's gonna end up with some minor scratches or dents.

Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer, brings the black stuff up with a nice smooth sheen and protects it from UV breakdown.

Does it give that oily/shiny look?

Personally I prefer the original matt look, not matt as in "sun burnt" but good looking matt

no its not an oily finish, it is a very soft sheen and you also get bobbles of rain on it in the wet.
