Help! eliminating light scratches on metallic paint

Hello,

I have a dark silver MCS which I always hand wash so the paint is pristine and my car is almost 1 year old.

Unfortunately today I noticed some light scratches (3 or 4) on the front pannel paint (next to the hood). Arghhhhhhhh! Maybe the skin cloth catch some dirt, I don't know

I know you can't use polishers on metallic paint so is there any way to solve this or I just have to bite the bullit and ignore it. It really isn't enough to justify painting but I do notice and it drives me mad!

Thanks....

Don't know if it is available in Portugal, but for about $12 in the U.S. you can get the 3M Swirl Mark remover for Dark Cars (also comes in a light car version). A foam-like product that is easier to use with a orbital buffer, it can be applied by hand in small areas and does a great job on tiny scratches. If the scratch penetrated the paint and exposed metal, you will need to use a touch-up paint and then a buffer (after curing).

The scratches are light (hair thin). Is the 3M product safe to use? By this I mean that it doesn't "colorize" sorrounding areas. Because inevitably you have to polish it, it isn't like a pen...
