Offline | Rubber car mats As winter is on its way,I dont think the velour mats in my car will stand up to all the water and dirt ,could anyone recommend a good set of rubber mats, how much they cost and where to get them. I saw a picture of the mini ones and thought they looked pretty awful, with circles all over them, looked like a baking tray ! |

Offline | Well yes, they are not the prettiest of items, but the circles do tie in with the heater knob and the ends of the stalks. They do fit well though - I've always found that non prop mats never look right. R56 AB Cooper |

| MINI2 Senior | Halfords have a range of car mats, nothing special mind you. http://www.halfords.com/opd_category.asp?root=1&id=79 If horse racing is the sport of Kings, should drag racing be the sport of Queens? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, something about the way MINI fit to the edges and have a high lip top prevent spill over. I'll post a pic. Saw some variations at the Reservoir Dog Run yesterday. You all should check it out and take your mats motoring. Sign up list for next year overflowing. |

Offline | MINI makes two different rubber mat styles, one with big cupholder looking circles, which I have and love, and one with small rubber bumps and the logo in the corner, that I don't like. ![]() Last edited by scooterboy : Jan 5th, 2004 at 02:54 PM. |

Offline | I got the MINI rubber mats from the first day and they are great. Everything fits and it keeps the car clean from mud/snow/dirt. I also opted for the boot mat as well. It helps keep stuff from sliding around. |

| MINI2 Master | Just put my rubber mats back in the car for the season. Should have put them in for the rally on the weekend, always end up with sandy, muddy boots and did again... Offline | Btw, I also got the rubber boot mat extension which is really great when hauling things around with the seats down. But you have to remove it when you put the seats up - only thing I didn't quite like about it. Worth the investment tho because it protects the back of the seats. ![]() "Sunshine and Peace." - Maxamini ![]() |

Offline | Thanks everyone for your advice,Im not sure if the UK dealers have the mats without the circles ,I'll ask .I like the idea of the boot mat extension, but at the moment I have to stop buying more things and concentrate on making repayments !!!! Im expecting my Zano polish to arrive any day soon, but weather in UK is so bad wont be able to get out and use it for the foreseable future ,since I got the car on 14/11/03 its only stopped raining for 2 days, the car looks a mess ! I went into my dealers on Monday and had a new polished handbrake grip fitted, not sure that it looks any better, only had it put on as I negotiated as a freebie when I bought the car, costs abot £70 over in UK + fitting. Also picked up the mini model of my car 1/18th scale again part of the "deal" costs £35 in UK,looks good only problem is whells arent right ones |

| MINI2 Master | I find the carpet mats more comfortable most of the year and the accoustics of the front speakers are quite different with rubber. Just like you want carpet for good accoustics in a home or studio, you want it in a car (not that it is a good place for accoustics in the first place, all the other plastic and glass and that loud motor, wind, etc.). Offline | Went to Halfords on Friday night and bought a set of their mats ,cost me £31 and when I tried them they didnt fit ,so went to Mini on Sat and bought a set of their mats, they fit perfectly and cost £35.No contest. Pity they look like a set of baking trays, still they do what they are intended for perfectly |
