Chipped Door Mirrors - MINI Cooper Forum

I've got a small stone chip in one of my lovely white door mirrors - has anyone "touched up" their mirrors and if so where did you get the touch up paint from? Do dealers sell them?

I managed to scrape my mirror on a nasty pebble dashed wall (actual pebbles not vomit!) which has taken the white paint off a small part of my driver's door mirror.

I'm sure your dealer could provide touch up paint for this. I'm told the replacement mirror part is only £7 though. I'm waiting for the chrome ones...

I got a touch up pen from the dealer for my bonnet stone chips. It was £7 for the colour and laquer.

does CHIPPING the mirrors make them perform better?
And would I nead to inform my Insurance of the mod?
