Lightbulb Cleaning leather seats..... beware!!!

We all know how the leather seats in a MINI crinkle.... I don't really mind the look, but be really careful when cleaning the seats!

I washed them with a leather cleaner then applied some BMW leather care cream....

Advice DON'T

The cream got stuck in the creases and around all the little raised circles on the profile leather... it then dried to a wax and proved impossible to remove.... I had to resort to a hairdrier to melt the wax and absorbent cloth to remove. Took me several hours and even then when it got cold the white streaks reappeared!!

Tried using Meguiars cleaner restorer and that was no better, but finally found the solution... good old Autoglym Leather Care Cream. I don't usually like their products, but this cream is really runny and seemed to dissolve the previous waxes... it took a long time though!

Finally this Autoglym cream has left the leather more supple, less creased and with a great matt sheen.... it looks great, feels great and smells great.... almost as good as new apart from a few deep creases which now looks the part.

Try it, you won't be disappointed.... I will certainly use it for a twice yearly application now... what is interesting though is that this cream suits MINI leather really well, it was really awful on previous Mercs and BMWs that I've had...I think the MINI leather is more absorbent so take care of it!

Haven't found the need to use Autoglym Leather Cream yet (just been wiping down with a wet cloth) but I will give it a go over the weekend.

Cheers
