Battery replacement: need to reflash ECU?

There will come a time when the MINI battery needs replacement. When it is disconnected, will this require re-flashing the ECU? I drive the MC and would not want the newer software v.36 update as my car is running just fine. Any thoughts on this?

I left mine disconnected from Nov thru last week, probably the same as changing it out. All I did was wait with the key in pos 2 for a couple of minutes, then start the car. The only thing I had to reset was the clock, even all my radio station presets stayed!
