What do you use to wash your car?

What brand do you use to wash your car? And what brand do you use to wash your rims?

Take a look in the care and maintenance forums janie, you will find loads of info in there.

I personally use Meguairs Soft gel wash on my two week old Cooper. Haven't used anything specific on the wheels yet. Will use the rest of my wonder wheels until it's gone, then switch to something Meguiars no doubt.

What about the TOUCHLESS CAR WASH? Would my car get damaged in it?

after seeing an alfa 75 go in one end of a car wash, and come out the other end minus its body kit i have avoided car washes ever since!it was very clean when it came out and so were all the bits of plastic scattered about the floor!woops!
try autoglym if you can get hold of it!

I go to the touchless car wash myself. That way I don't have to worry about my wash mitt getting dirt on it and scratching my paint. I am very anal about any swirl marks and don't feel there is a need to fix that if i don't need to. I wax the car very often too because I'm not sure if the presoak stuff takes off the wax.

never let your car go near a car wash!! ... or a jet wash IMO.

I always use this on our cars:

Meguiars Gold Class Wash (better than soft wash gel)
Meguiars Stage 1 Paint Cleaner
Meguiars Scratch-X scratch remover
Meguiars Stage 2 Polish
Meguiars Gold Class Wax
Meguiars Hot Rims alloy cleaner
Meguiars Leather Conditioner
+ P21S Carnauba Wax (as good, if not better, than the Meguiars wax)

... with the usual detailing cloths, wash mits, drying cloths etc etc

Whenever it is dirty and is nice out. Usually I like to do it about once a week, sometimes more often. I like to also have tokens for the touchless automatic so I can have my wife wash it when it gets dirty too, basically just to wash the loose crap off it. It doesn't work that well but helps. I have never had any damage done to my car in a touchless. I've had some by hand washing though. I like to wax it every 2 to 3 weeks.
