Lint/fuzz on sunroof lining

When I wash my the top of the car, my sponge leaves residue on the lining of the sunroof. I am talking about the soft lining along the tracks. It really gets embedded! I guess I could try to take some masking tape to it and try to skip over the tracks next time I use the sponge.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks.

I just use a stiff bristle toothbrush on mine to get off the lint. Mind the paint though.

I have been getting a lot of pollen and dust up there, I use my shop vac to suck the stuff out. Has been working really good. Good too for getting the bugs out of the radiator fins.
