Fuel Economy

So what's everyone achieving mileage wise?
I'm getting 9.4/100k after 1 month of ownership.

7.6 / 100km - EB/CS 2 years old

Maybe it's a combination of driving style & petrol. I do more highway driving.
- Woolworths premium - average
- Shell optimax / Caltex gold / Mobil 9000 - better, comparable
- BP ultimate - improved performance, lasts longer / tank (you pay for what u get)

Cheers, Shaz

Ross, 9.4 is pretty average for driving around Melbourne with the weekend spin included. Go relatively easy (don't got over 3,500rpm, run in 4th,5th and 6th at every possible instance and you will get it mid 8s) but where's the fun in that?

Regards, eltel

9.4/100k, I agree with Terry is average for Melbourne. I am doing about those numbers. Mind you I do drive my cars quite hard.

At Sandown its down to 24-26/100k. MCS likes highway driving with that it comes right down to 6.4/100k or so.

My best is 5.7 cruising down the M5 between 80 and 100, worst is 26.4 at Eastern Creek and Sydney average around 7.1 and not sparing the throttle. It'll be interesting to see what we get in Tassie but i bet the economy between Sydney and Devonport will be excellent

Okay, so I am in the very early stages of MINI ownership, but I have been truly amazed at the 0l/100km fuel consumption of my MINI so far.

What am I doing wrong?!?

The best I have every managed according to the Sat Nav computer is 8.6L/100km driving to Newcastle ... round the city I'm lucky to do better than 11L/100km

Track consumption was about 26L/100km

Oh well suppose I just have to fill up a little more

Nice one, I was born there, left at 6 months of age and returned and lived there from age 7-15.
