If your "S" has auto A/C then the filter you are talking about is located under the glove box. You will need a #20 Torx bit to take the cover off. The filter then just slides out and you slide the new one in. Should take about 15-20 minutes and the cost of the filter is between $15 and $20. This is the only interior filter that I know of. You will be suprised at how dirty it has gotten.

Good Luck

The Man A/C filter is in the same place, you might want and see if you can get your hand up in to the air box and spray some Glen 20 to kill the germs on the evaporator.

Got the glen 20 trick from a freind that work for a large MFG of all air con systems for our Ford and Holden cars here in Oz. Tried it on a loaner cooper that had a problem and even the dealer was suprised I got the smell out.

Has it made a difference?

How often should it be done?
