Offline | As far as I know they remove the 'dead' paint which actually means they are reomving layers of paint from your car - i've always though that these abrasives are okay in small doses, perhaps once or twice a year not every week! Cometh the Hour, Cometh the MINI |

Offline | all polishes are abrasive but to different degrees. TCut is harsh and shouldn't be used too often The colour polishes I think you want to know about just have a colour added to the polish that aims to make fine scratches and chips less noticable. I personally don't like the colour products as unless you get a perfect match the polish can do the opposite and make scratches stand out. I just use turtle wax extreme as it gives great results and doesn't mark plastics as badly as some can do. MINIless since 2nd of June @12:35pm 2003 |

| MINI2 Global Moderator | Yeah the ones that come in colours to match your car are not the same as the original T Cut which was really a colour restorer to be used on old cellulose paints. Modern 'two pack' paints that have a clear coat of laquer should not have TCut applied to them, hence the new range of products which are merely coloured polishes. I have the red T Cut colour polish but I don't use it that often, stick to Autoglym, with the royal seal of approval. The way I look at it is, if the Queen polishes her cars with it, it must be good! ![]() the MINI has gone... |

Offline | LOL - that would be something worth seeing. Totally agree though - Autoglym is the business. Another apparently good product (never tried it myself) is Mer. Edit: Just realised I'm now a regular. That has really cheered me up Mini Beemer (Regular) |
