Offline | Never use them any more. (It's spelled chamois BTW) Use a California Water Blade and good 100% cotton towels. Spotless finish and I have very hard water where I live. This site, http://www.properautocare.com/ , has many great tips. |

Offline | Apparently that new MR. Clean spraying/hose thing works really well too... Wash, rinse, no drying necessary. That's what I heard. (Not affiliated with Mr. Clean) |

Offline | I have one and it works pretty well. Sheets off nicely using their soap but I don't use that anymore since it ran out. Just use my Gold Class in the dispenser. Works well. Never did sheet off as well as the commercial but it does reduce the hard particles in my water greatly. It will still spot slightly but it really only shows on the glass. The handiest thing about it for me is that I can use my bucket as just a rinse bucket making it very easy to keep my wash pad clean. I do use more soap per wash but that's a decent trade off IMO. |

Offline | Use a meguiars waffle weave microfibre drying cloth, fold once longways and gently wipe over of the car as you would like a water blade - then go back over catching any small missed bits. Also a wee tip - if you wash your wheels first and then change the water before washing the car you then can get straight onto drying the car without any risk of water spots drying out. Offline | Guys ....... The absolute coolest car stuff catalog is "Griot's Garage" they are online also at www.griotsgarage.com Item # 11117 Micro fiber drying towel. I can dry my entire Land Rover with one towel.....so my MCS is no problem at all. I will not use a water blade...one tiny speck of sand or anything else will leave a nice scratch.........been there, done that !!!!!!!!! |

Offline | I've been using the Mr. Clean AutoDry car wash since the start of the year - with at least 25 or more car washes so far with it. I absolutely recommend it! It cleans great and after the final rinse with the filtered water, I just walk away from my wet MINI. After 20-30 minutes the car is dry and spotless (time depends on wind and humidity). When dry, there's no spots on the paint, glass or chrome. Some people see the Mr. Clean commercials on TV and expect the drying process to be instantaneous, with water just sheeting off the car. No way. It simply does not do that. Hey guys, that's time lapse photography on the commercials! The benefit to the product is not in having an instantly dry car - because that won't happen - the benefit is being able to walk away, do something else, and return to a spotlessly clear car. Perhaps a more important benefit is not to have to drag something (chamois, blade, towel, etc.) across the paint to remove water - avoiding all abrasion during the drying process. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed Last edited by BruceK : Sep 8th, 2004 at 04:56 AM. |
