DIY Rotate and Balance included in service?

Hi Everybody,

Does the 3-year service on a new MINI in the US include rotating and balancing the wheels every 7,500 or so? If I run by the local dealer, will they do a rotate and balance at no charge?

What about wiper blades? All I have to do is ask, right?

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Eric Longman

MINI does not call for rotating the tires, however when I had mine in for the first service last week I was told that the tires were due rotation. The dealer said they would be happy to do it but it would cost as it is not part of the "free" service. Go figure.

.........but I could be wrong.

Wheel rotation + balancing: No.

Wiper blades: Yes.

MINI policy (there's lots of threads on people's views if they agree with this or not, that's a different discussion) is that you shouldn't rotate wheels. If the fronts wear out first, just buy 2 new tires. Because of that, its not included in maintence, similar to oil changes outside their reccomended interval.

Usually they'll just replace your wiper blades without asking, but you should mention it just to be sure

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.
