Offline | I have no problems with dealers making a profit out of selling me a car or selling parts or doing any work on the car. But it makes me mad when they try to con people. Hope you get a decent explanation and maybe even an apology but my suspicion is they will go into full ******** mode. Show them no mercy. ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |

Offline | Max, bit of an o/t here, but how have you found the new discs so far? i have greenstuff discs on my hillclimb car and used to have greenstuff pads. i got rid of the pads as i felt they took to long to heat up (that's by the by, different car etc) how do you feel the disc/pad combo works on the mini? how's the pedal feel, is there any 'dead' space at the top of the travel? if you really lean on them, does the ABS kick in later than with standard pads? i expect they are less affected by heat than standard set up and the drilled and grooved should help prevent fade too i guess? i think this is a case of the usual dealer b/s in an attempt to get as much money out of their customer as possible. no surprises. i await your reply with interest as i have no doubt my dealer would just make up some nonsense and try to fob me off, be interesting to see what yours does. cheers yrs TVR Tuscan S. 400bhp, 0-60 3.8 0-100 8.08. 195mph. Offline | Some dealers have 'policies' about changing both pads and disks at the same time - idiots. They might also rightly have said that they would not have reached your next service interval. You need to try my car now max, since the brakes have been done. |
