two layer wax

planning on waxing my sister's car for her. Since winter is coming up I was hoping to use 2 layers of the NXT wax. i'll wash the car then wax it, wait a day and wax it again, but what i'm wondering is, do I have to wash the car again the second day? Since the car will be driven around and such won't dirt get all over it making it unsuitable to another coat of wax?

thanks for any replies

Would be best to keep the car garaged between waxes. If that's not an option, I would give it a light wash prior to the second waxing to ensure the road grime doesn't get waxed in. Or maybe not - I'm too lazy!

Just give it a quick wash and dry before the 2nd wax and you'll be fine.
As you've already waxed it once, it won't take that long to wash

2 coats of NXT works well but in theory it will be more like 1.5 coats as NXT contains cleaners so will remove a bit of the first coat as you apply.

For a proper seal i've read people using P21S sealant or megs #16 over NXT to good effect.
